Monster Shark??

Tourist in Australia warned of six meter 'monster' shark: Tourists holidaying in the Australian state of Queensland have been warned to stay out of the water by authorities who fear a giant six meter-long shark might be prowling the coast.

Concerns were raised after a 3 meter great white shark was found dead with two huge bites taken out of its body. Experts believe the bites were made by an even larger predatory fish.

This was kinda big news in Australia for a bit. But i thought it was funny nobody mentioned the possibility that it was just a smaller or normal sized shark who took 2 bites?? probably it bit the same spot??

However, i admit it would be hilarious to see the locals down in Queensland standing on the beach or boats pointing their guns at the water screaming MONSTER SHARK!! Apparently thats what the people are doing btw...I think some ppl have seen Jaws wayyyyyyy to many times.

Then again I sure as hell aint getting into any shark infested waters..period!! Can only imagine my mother saying "you went in even though u knew there was sharks in the area!!" I would get no sympathy at all for loosing a chunk of my thigh or my foot... sighh

oh ye of little ingenuity

There are moments in life where one cant help but just throw it out there and see what happens. I rarely come across opportunities to do that but today I did. Today i decided to try a sad pick up line and see where it gets me.

Situation: Me getting coffee at the RMIT cafeteria before my literary journalism (LJ) class. Notice a pretty girl (PG) standing beside me. Both of us waiting for our coffee. I smile at her and she smiles back. So I do this...

Me: So do you come here often?

PG: Uh...yea i guess so. In between classes? (yes she had a questioning tone)

Me: wokays. (5 sec pause) Sorry but I just had to try that out and see how it worked out

PG: oh alright.. (takes coffee n leaves)

Now i admit that it was a overused and very bad pick up line but i swear i feel that conversation should have lasted longer. That was a classic opening into a 1st time conversation if she just had better comebacks. Or maybe I've been watching to many reruns of Friends??

Then again it wasn't like she was all that. She had nice boots (yes i notice stuff like dat) and the appropriate length of wavy hair (appropriate by my standards off course). A nice smile maybe but besides that not someone I'd loose sleep over.

anyways im still gonna keep trying these lame bad pick up lines n you'll be among the 1st to know if it works..

I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone, but i can tell you what love is for me. Love is knowing all about someone and still wanting them more than any other person. OMFG!!

MU has like 8O mil n the best they could do was overpriced Valencia and Michael Owen!!

Dont get me wrong..Owen was a top quality player but there is a logical reason why that sentence is in the past tense..although he vehemently denies it, one cant help but lable him as extremely injury prone.. He plays, he gets injured. As an ankle heals, a groin muscle rips. When he returns, a knee ligament pulls. He is a mass of interconnecting torn tissue. He has never quite rediscovered his touch and the pace that marked him out as one of the best strikers at that time.

I only hope that with the type of support he will be getting at MU, from both the medical staff and players he will be able to regain what was lost and prove to be quite a ingenius move by Fergusson..


On another note, apparently, according to my sources Eto favours a move to ManUtd rather than ManCity..He is willing to forgo the big bugs if ManUtd's 25mil bid is excepted... PLEASE EXCEPT IT!!! it would make me feel a whole lot better about the Owen issue..

Besides Transformers 2 (mmmmmm yummy megan fox & robats), Harry Potter 6 (mmmmmm yummy emma watson) and that new Johnny Depp movie about robbers in the 50/6os (uhhhhh cool johnny depp in another characted movie) I just realised there is another summer movie i wanna go see in the cinema...

World Cup Australia 2018-2022??

So Australia have launched a bid to host either the 2018 or the 2022 FIFA World Cup.. I for one hope they get it..It would be awesome to see all the footballing nations come to this end of the world.. Although im still waiting for a joint bid from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand to be launched, this is will do for now =P
