Last Sat, dev and I went to check out a play at Actors Studio Bangsar (ASB)... Its a drama called 'Hero'.... It stared it starred Indi Nadarajah, Anne James and newcomer Ley Shahrwind.

Hero tells the story of the anguish suffered by a family following the death of the father - a politician who is mysteriously assassinated. The story is told through the eyes of his wife, his fourteen-year-old son and by the dead man himself. The man a potential hero in the Indian community refuses to remain silent, thereby adding to the mystery illuminating a murder that has gripped not just the Tamil community, but the entire nation.As the trio tell their story through dialogue and monologue, through flash back and present day events, a sinister and uneasy web forms, linking affairs of state, power, faith and ego. Who has assassinated this man? And why? Ultimately, however, Hero transgresses national and political interests, and arrives at that most intimate and unique of spaces, the family home.

Ultimately, after a long break i was glad to go watch a play again...really missed out a few gd one's over the past year or so...anyways dis one was pretty damn gd.. im so used to watchin Indi do comedy so it was refreshing to see him do a dramatic rola so well....the man is dedicated sial..starts off wearing a suit n slowly throughout the play he strips down to just his boxers n socks..i laughed out loud during one point when he reffered to his political enemy as a 'cunt'..i mean i've heard fucker,bastard and asshole during many plays but never a 'cunt'...Ley Shahrwind was pretty gd 2..was very convincing in 1st ever thetere production...

there are 2 more plays coming up in the next month i wanna see..cant wait..comedy/musicals but still should be pretty good...

Yest me and a few frens checked out the Love Guru (LG)...actually we were gonna watch Wall-E but den the movie was to late so we dicided on LG. Anyways i thought it was damn entertaining. Not s'thing i'd normally spend RM8-10 on but yea it was very entertaining in a stupid funny way..look out for the damn funny acronyms and cameo appearences by Jessica Simpson, Val Kilmer, Kanye West and Mike Myers!! (I kid u not)

Jesica Alba is beyond hot!! She even dresses up in an Indian outfit at the end. Every Indian boy's dream come true!!

Timberlake i loved to laugh at! Dude was so macho he was gay!! but in a very entertaining way. Look out for him dancing/singing to Celine Dion classics...

Life according to my music player

I was reaching coll via ktm yest morning wen my trusty creative music player randomly picked MJ's 'Bad'...freaking cool sial!! walking into coll with dat song blasting in my ears...felt like i could have broken out some MJ trademark moves and nobody would have even blinked..one of those 'im damn COOOL' kinda moments you noe... swear i thought of MJ moves n i thought of Reagan ... *Sorry Reagan!! **Sorry Surekha!! ***Grins!!

Wouldn't it be like the most awesome-est thing if we could choose our own background music to our lives..seriously think about it..it could b like how it is on tv or in d movies..totally awesome kan!

Imagine tunes like the Mission Impossible theme song while ur in a rush driving to coll/uni/work.. or Switches - Drama Queen while ur shopping...or some Brazillian mambo while playing football/futsal..

Avril Lavigne

There's been alot of buzz lately on the whole Avril Lavigne (AL) performing here in Malaysia and whether she is not appropriate (2 sexy it seems) for the Malaysian youth. personally i feel its all bull. Just because a performer may be to sexy, may it be in a thier dressing or attitude or performance..that is no grounds for cancelling an entire concert.

another 2 reasons being that she is 2 punk rock and that her concert was to close 2 Merdeka n her concert might give the wrong impression of wat dis country means bla bla bla.. i mean like wtf laa..

1st off she aint punk rock anymore kan..she's now more pop rock den anything n even if she was punk rock, with the internet n MTV,Channel V n E channel, the youth today can get tonnes or meterial on her or this kind of music so i dont see how cancelling her concert would curb the apparently 'bad' addiction to punk rock.

2ndly..nobody is gonna think "oh m'sia is celebrating thier independence n look few days b4 AL performed there!" "really??How can!" "terrible rite!".. I mean nobody is gonna give a fuck laa.. seriously..besides u narrow minded ppl who make me wonder if we'll ever become a developed nation socially n mentally with dis sort of crap

I think since we're a democratic country, we the people should have a say in wether the performers should b allowed. Heck tickets sales are off the roof 4 avril lavigne concert so dat should translate into the people of m'sia wanting 2 see her!! but just because a small grp of ppl (u all know who im talking about) who are to conservative in thier thinking, dont like her, our gov tires to do away with the concert which is total bullshit...

its embarrasing really.. Channel E had us on thier daily 10 a few days back.. "wat does gwen steffani, beyonce knowles and Avril Lavigne have in common" they went on to say how the Malaysian deems these performers as not appropriate and bla bla bla..n d announcer made a funny face n sarcastic remark...damn maulu ritee!!

apparently the concert is back on but no word on why the change of mind thou...

Anyways..wen some of d gang got together n was talking bout it...they were all laughing coz none of em found AL sexy...funny but i find her sexy n hot!!

Biggest dissapointment of m'sians campaign...after playing well throughout the competition but choked in the final match..in his defence there was loads of pressure and the Lin Dan had the massive crowd behind him...but Chong Wei wasn't at his best n i cringe at the thought of tmr's headlines... =(

*watchin MU n with 2 mins 2 go they're being held by Newcastle... sighhh!! thankfully last season they started the season with 3 draws (crosses fingers)

Juvenile yet frigging annoying

Backgrounder: Rohani and I are in charge of the Ink Slingers (IS) for the next 3 months and our 1st issue was distributed last Thurs

Monday: I entered the newsroom to find a copy of IS lying on the floor with a message written in red ink on the top of the front page.

"To the inkslingers team! Please check errors in red! I know u hv a small team but pls be meticulous of ur job! From previous inkslingers!"

They actually circled and underlined our mistakes!! As far as I know only one of the previous IS team around and I wouldn't put it past HIM to pull a stunt like this.. I wont deny there were spelling and grammer mistakes and I wont try to defend em..

Fact remains there is only 2 of us working on the newspaper when the previous team had about 8 ppl.. Mr Azmyl dismissed it as juvenile n I agree but cant deny how much it irks me wenever i see HIM around coll..

For a job done by only two people, i thought it was good...however as some did,'t think so, hopefully the next issue is up to the previous standards, watever they may be..here's to hearing from you again. Maybe leave ur name next time? perhaps just ur innitials?? till den your just the red bandit (RB)... Juvenile yet frigging annoying..

31st n Baskin Robbins

Which i could upload pics frm my phone.. then i could show u how long the line was at Subang Parade's Baskin Robbins..

They abandoned the original number system dis time..normally you get a number n wait till they call it..however dis time they had d numbers but didnt use it..everybody just lined up.. long ass line..Ashley n I waited in like for 2 hours!! N i dont even like ice cream dat much!! stupid Ashley laa..sheesh!!

While standing in line i saw Reagan n Surekha walking by..they stopped n chatted 4 a bit..really great 2 see em...we all agreed we soooo need 2 grab mat n like hang out really soon...

So even thou my legs were killing me by d end of the outing, it was still gd fun...one of those events which will go down as pointless but still memorable.. Atleast i got House season 4 DVD frm Ashley.. no more waiting 4 every monday..i've spent d entire evenin watchin it...at season finale now! after dis all i'll need is Numbers n CSI NY...any takers??
